P*** to Mulumba

Dear Mulumba,

My name is P*** and I am Chinese and American. I take the French course at school but my French is not good. I hope you will understand this letter. 😁If you notice any grammar errors or confusing sentences, please let me know. I am still a beginner in French.

I prefer playing soccer, playing the piano and reading history. Do you like sports? Then I read a lot of books. My favorite book is called The Inheritance Games, which translates to Le Jeu de L’Héritage in French. It is about a rich family and a grandfather who is very intelligent.

My parents came from China, and they think it's important for me to understand my heritage and my culture. From an early age, I learned to speak Chinese. We also eat Chinese food for dinner. My favorite dish is a spicy hot pot. The hotpot has a tasty soup base and you put different raw vegetables, meat and noodles in the soup to cook it. I really like this dish because it brings my family together when we all sit around the table enjoying a hotpot.

The most important holiday for us is Chinese New Year, which we celebrated recently, and our school even held a Chinese New Year assembly where we shared our culture with everyone. What is your favorite party?
